The representative of the National Assembly to Panama, Fabiola Zavarce, congratulated the people of Panama for celebrating Independence Day this November 28th.
Mrs. Zavarce explained that after an emancipatory process that culminated on November 28th, 1821, Panama broke the colonial ties that existed with the Spanish empire, thus ending more than 300 years of colonial rule.
“For the Venezuelans who live here this date is a celebration, it reminds us once again of our ties of brotherhood and history of our patriots,” said the Venezuelan diplomat in a letter published on her social network accounts.
Likewise, she thanked all Panamanians for the love and welcome they have offered to the thousands of Venezuelans who have arrived here fleeing the tragedy caused by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
